What distinguishes the Scramble cloud from other providers in terms of security?
While other cloud providers largely rely on server-side encryption, we use the end-to-end principle.
This means that your personal files never leave your end device unencrypted. This makes it clear that we are never able to read your unencrypted files. Not even for companies, institutions or even authorities.
In which country are the Scramble cloud servers operated?
Our servers are hosted in various countries within Germany and, due to redundancy, within Europe.
How is the availability of my data guaranteed?
To prevent the loss of data in the best possible way, we store each file multiple times and in different regions.
Is my data protected against manipulation?
Depending on the use case, we use different measures to detect manipulation of your files and thus preserve the integrity of the data.
If our system ever suspects that one of your files on our server has been manipulated, you will receive an error message and in some cases we will block the download. Manipulation of data is therefore worthless.
This only serves as an additional safeguard and should never occur during use.
